Nuts About ? Blog Hop and Giveaway

I have always loved a good blog hop and this is a great one so far! Nuts About ? was thought up by Marian of Seams To Be Sew ! She is such a sweet hostess. Thank you Marian for all your hard work. I spent a great deal of time thinking about what I am nuts about! My family (yes, but not for a hop), I truly love pincushions, but I really do have a thing for pillows! I am Nuts for - Pillows Don't you just love Charlie Harper! I do! Sometimes a print is just to perfect to cut up. Do a little straight line quilting and make pretty pillows for your couch. The lighting in my house was bad today, so out on the lawn for photos. Here are a few I have made over the last 8 months! Great way to practice invisible zippers! Making couch cushions kind of brightens up a room! Holidays is just one reason to make a pillow or two! Even the neck pillow got recovered! Love the blue roses by Cotton + Steel! It is removeable. These were all made using Lori Holt patterns from her book, Farm Girl Vint

One Monthly Goal

Image
Oh, how can it already be February? I have a lot going on with family but everyone needs to make time (even a little) for themselves during stressful times. So my goal this month is to make one row, any row from the book All In A Row! Red Letter Quilts: OMG: One Monthly Goal Linkup - Time for February Goals! Maybe I will make Pat Sloan's row of laundry on the line! The contest runs from February 1, 2016 to March 15, 2016. Each row you make is an entry into the contest. Allinarowquiltalong to find out more on facebook! I love the idea that the money made feeds kids! One reason to buy the book (feed kids) but the best reason is that most of the rows are made to be quick and easy! To get the book for yourself Martingale - Moda All-Stars All in a Row (Print version + eBook bundle) I am not in anyway associated with this contest, I just want to win! Thank you, Lisa I am linking up with the others for OMG at Red Letter Quilts   Create and be unique - Lisa

On Another Note

On Another Note - came about from my wandering through Facebook, Instagram, Blogs, and all over the internet. I often find something I want to share but don't have a real post to build around it so for now I will post them under this heading. I found this on Instagram and jump for joy because it is awesome and FREE! Hunter's Design Studio | Cool patterns + sassy stuff! And the home of We Are $ew Worth It!     So click on the link above or take a look on instagram at Sam Hunter Sam @ Hunter's Design Studio (@huntersds) • Instagram photos and videos   I was very crushed when the ladies who ran A Lovely Year Of Finishes decided to stop their monthly linky party for goal setting. I tried each month to participate and it just didn't always happen. But it was a great Linky and I enjoyed visiting different blogs and seeing what was going on. Great way to figure out trends that way. Well yesterday, I found out Heidi of Red Letter Quilts: One Monthly Goal: OMG Inaugural L
